Meet Sean Scott

We’ve teamed up with Sean Scott, an ocean and landscape photographer capturing Australia’s favourite beaches for Havaianas and we had a chance to catch up with him on his trip.

1.     When did you discover you were really good at this whole photo taking business?

It was more so that i fell in love with photography, I’ve been in the industry for a while now but am always trying to perfect my images and learn new things

2.     What are you most inspired by?

Mother Nature, the way its always changing yet it is so beautiful to photograph in all of her moods

3.     Your career has taken you to some amazing locations, which would be your favourite & why?

Aitutaki in the Cook Islands was pretty insane. Its the picture perfect beach with blue clear water, palm trees and the whitest sand

4.     Most interesting project you’ve worked on?

I think it would be my trip to the arctic last year, there were some really challenging weather conditions to deal with. The temperature, the rain, the blizzards

5.     How do you get those amazing barrel shots? Do you get knocked around trying to get the perfect wave shot?

haha yeah, not too often but you can certainly get caught out when your focussed on getting that shot

6.     What has been the most challenging subject to photograph? (i.e. Animals? Weather?)

Each subject can be difficult in its own way.. perhaps shooting in the water, the conditions have to be so pristine

7.     What style Havaianas are you currently wearing?

Top Print - Sean Scott Lennox Head photo print.

8.     What’s your essential summer soundtrack? (name a song or album you love that reminds you of summer)

Enjoying everything from Alt J

9.     Your kids feature on your Instagram sometimes, are they interested in getting behind the lens as well?

My youngest boy Sammy is really into photography, he has his own little camera and is always my side kick when I go shoot

10.  Where are you off to next?

Back to Western Australia with my family and driving along the coastline to Darwin chasing the sun

11.  What’s the best thing about being a photographer?

I think in my field of photography the best thing is that I photograph nature so Im generally somewhere really beautiful in its own way

12.  What’s your go-to pair of Havi’s?

Probably a logo - black grey or black/white
