Havaianas & Women For Women International launch celebrity fashion

Congratulations to Havaianas Europe, who this week launched an exciting collaboration with some of the world’s most influential creatives to raise funds for global charity Women for Women International.

Based on a mutual admiration on what they both stand for: love, kindness, support, vision, hope, happi-ness, will and creative spirit, Havaianas Europe commissioned the likes of Alice Temperley, Aquazzura, Arizona Muse, Charlotte Olympia, DSQUARED2, Manolo Blahnik, Mary Katrantzou, Naomi Campbell, Nicholas Kirkwood, Simone Rocha, Stephen Jones and Swarovski to create bespoke one-off art inspired thongs for this great cause.  are amongst the artists to create bespoke one-off art objects for this great cause.

Curator and renowned fashion entrepreneur Maria Kastani, said “Havaianas is a brand I love and support fully. They care, love and appreciate all humans and their colourful creations are a catalyst for happiness.

Women for Women International is a truly wonderful charity that cares and supports marginalised women in countries affected by war and conflict. They have helped almost half a million women rebuild their lives and given them hope, skills and knowledge to support them-selves, families and their communities.

Naomi Campbell said “I'm so honoured to participate in such a great project for Women for Women International. I'm so inspired by all the works that Zainab Salbi does to help and empower women all around the world. I'm a huge fan of Havaianas, I never travel without them. I hope you all enjoy my ‘skiller’ heels!”

Brita Fernandez Schmidt, Executive Director UK, Women for Women International says “We truly value creative and innovative partnerships and that is why I am delighted to be collaborating with Maria Kastani and Havaianas. We know that the awareness and money raised through this collaboration will support women survivors of war rebuild their lives in some of the most dangerous places in the world. Funds raised by the auction of the Havaianas artworks will help Women for Women International to continue their admirable and wonderful journey to keep supporting marginalised women survivors of war. These bespoke pieces of art will be auctioned online to raise funds for Women for Women International.  The auction website will officially launch on 1st July 2017 and more information can be found at

Schengen country - in this sense it is very close to the general immigration policy of the European Union (the United Kingdom and Ireland are part of their own separate agreement called (and therefore do not operate there the Schengen rules, even if they are both part of the European Union (it should also be noted that the Schengen area also includes non-EU countries).
