Havaianas teams up with Tamarama SLSC!

Did you guess who was behind the sunglass wearing, thong toting, red king prawns on one of Sydney’s most iconic surf clubs, Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC)?

It was us!
As a long-time supporter of Surf Life Saving clubs in Australia , we’re now getting behind Tamarama this summer to push the Club’s fundraising for their redevelopment project.

Founded in 1906, The Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club has been an invaluable resource to the community for over 110 years. The redevelopment will deliver building upgrades that will significantly benefit life saving operations as well as future community education and inclusion programs.

Havaianas is pleased to donate $25,000 towards the transformation of Tamarama's iconic clubhouse into a state-of-the-art lifesaving education and training centre.

It took us 130 litres of paint (generously donated by our friends at Dulux!) and 60-man hours to paint this marvellous summer murlal, and it will take a similar commitment to return the Club to its former glory come Autumn.
Our awesome painters hard at work

Why a prawn you ask? The king prawn is one of Australia’s most famed summer seafoods and a crustacean which calls the surf its home. The fun artwork is a nod to fond summer memories with family and friends, and celebrates all the things we love about a long, hot, Aussie summer.
Make sure you come down and see us at Tamarama this weekend as we’ll be giving away a bunch of awesome freebies and summer treats (*cough*..Did someone say ice-cream!?)
But don’t worry, if you can’t make it to the beach, there’s still a chance to win some Havi’s prawn merch for you and a mate.

Twenty exclusive prize packs are now up for grabs. All you need to do is head to our competition post on Facebook and tell us in 25 words or less your favourite thing about Summer in Australia. Click here to enter>
